These are the 3 dreaded words Professional Groomers absolutely hate to say…and those are the same 3 words that clients hate to hear. For Professional Groomers and Grooming Salon Managers these words send chills up their backs and make their hearts quiver because they know that they will have to invoice and collect more in fees from their clients above and beyond what the usual grooming fee is. Giving this type of news to clients isn’t pleasant…or easy. Discussion regarding fees isn’t a popular one. Conflict and ill-will is anticipated…when the news is received positively, it is appreciated by the grooming personnel. Many times Salon Managers will simply forgive the fees rather than add the additional fees to the grooming invoice…which then leads to ill-will with the Professional Groomer as they are not reimbursed for their expertise, time, or effort associated with any one of these processes.
