A 2007 Thanksgiving Reflection of Good Things at Petite Pooch

November 18th, 2007

My family and I have a tradition…before we dig into the Thanksgiving feast in front of us, one of us makes a little speech/prayer then we go around the table and each person tells the rest of us what they are thankful for. I would like to do that now…I’m thankful for:

  • my huband, my parents, my in-laws, my brothers, and my 7 dogs;
  • the wonderful people I work with;
  • the customers/pooches who come to Petite Pooch Chateau & Petite Pooch Plus;
  • the students/graduates who come to/graduate from Petite Pooch Chateau Dog Grooming Academy;
  • my health, the roof over my head, the comfortable life that is mine;
  • my incredible career as a nurse, a corporate director, and as an entrepeneur;
  • my landlords who allow me the opportunity to conduct business in stress-free environments;
  • the troops who keep us safe and their families who who make the ultimate sacrifice.

I wish every pet parent would do their homework prior to using any boarding facility. No place is absolutely perfect…as “Murphy’s Law” prevails in every business…however, a pet parent can undertake some activities to ensure that their boarding facility is using best practices. Utilizing best practices assists in reducing and minimizing the “margin of error” which might occur even when a boarding facility is doing their very best.
