Dog Grooming…It’s Gonna Be a Hot Summer!
Just thought I’d post a reminder to all pet parents to let them know that shaving their dogs down to the skin may not be a good idea. Dogs can suffer from sunburn just like we can. If shaving is absolutely necessary make sure you check with your veterinarian about the best way to shield your dog from overexposure to the sun. Sunblock may very well be in order. Outdoor dogs need shade, a cool area to rest and of course, don’t forget to fill up that water bowl often throughout the day. A little ice in the water wouldn’t be such a bad idea either. When possible try to keep the dog’s natural coat…it keeps dogs cool in the summer and warm in the winter. Brushing and combing your dog’s fur is imperitive to maintaining a matt/tangle-free coat. This is particularly necessary for any pooch who loves the water…tangles and matts only get worse after wet fur dries. It’s gonna be a hot Texas summer…keep your pooches safe! Maintaining the proper haircut for the summer will help.

Hello. I just want to say that you’re doing good in your blog. I know a site where you can learn more about training dogs. It is called clicker training. I assure you that this one is superb. This was also recommended by dog trainers and veterinarians.
