Joy Lesinski graduated from Petite Pooch Chateau Dog Grooming Academy on 12/19/05 and immediately launched her very successful mobile grooming business “The Joy of Grooming”.

Joy presented me with a very, very,very creative and unique plaque which reads “Top 10 Reasons Why Your Dog’s Haircut Costs More Than Yours”.

I have had this plaque hanging in the lobby for several years and so many people have complimented, commented, and enjoyed these “Top 10 Reasons…” I thought it might be nice to share Joy’s creation with all of you. If you’ve wondered why the price of grooming is what it is, consider this…

            Top 10 Reasons Why Your Dog’s Haircut Costs More Than Yours

10.  Your hairdresser doesn’t wash and clean your rear end.

9.  You don’t go for 8 weeks without washing or brushing your hair.

8.  Your hairdresser doesn’t have to give you a sanitary trim.

7.  Your hairdresser doesn’t have to clean your ears.

6. Your hairdresser doesn’t have to clean boogies from your eyes.

5.  You sit still for your hairdresser.

4. Your haircut doesn’t include a manicure or pedicure.

3.  Your hairdresser only washes and cuts the hair on your head.

2.  You don’t bite or scratch your hairdresser. (I hope not anyway.)

  1. I just love this unique message, and certainly support all the reasons why Pumkin deserves this special treatment. Petite Pooch has taken outstanding care of my little heartbeats for over ten years. Pumkin not only looks beautiful after a “Day of Beauty”, but loves to go there for “Play Day”… I am so glad Norma, Connie, Zelda, Linda, Nina, Jennifer and everyone is there to care for her! Thanks to you all !!!!!!!!!!

  2. Just wanted to give Kudos on this post. I am a dog groomer and I can never find a way of explaining to owners why the groom prices are soo high, Thanks to you I now have 10. Thanks alot, that was funny, I needed a good laugh.

    P.S I know it is sad but true!
